Getting ready for that dress

I'm sure that I'm not the only bride that gets hit with this thought somewhere in the wedding planning chaos. “DAMN! I think its time to seriously think about hit the gym, in order to look good in that white expensive dress”.

Yes, brides to be, we all get there eventually – slowly but surely.

Originally Tom and I signed up for dance classes. Not because we cannot hold our own in the dance floor, but we figure, that if we need to work out, we may as well make it a fun activity. Because if there is anything that I hate, is going to a gym.

Unfortunaly, right now we are seriously counting our pennies. Tom lost is job about a month ago and since then we had to re-worked the wedding budget by A LOT. I know we are going to make it work - somehow, and don't ask me how, it always seem to work out. But, yeah, those dancing classes have been scratched off our wedding wish list.

Well, it seems that I have someone looking out for me.

Because several weeks ago, a very good friend of mine, Steph from KitchenKM was choosen by a local personal trainer that was searching for some bloggers that were willing to train with him and then write it all down in all it’s tortured glory

I can start by writing that, he could not have chosen anyone better. Steph is a force to be reckon with - this girl, well this girl kicks some serious training booti-E!. She has run 5K's marathons and TWO! triathlons, she trains, trains and trains some more. I feel worn-out just hearing about her training - because well, I'm one LAZY ASS (sorry, but it the god-honest truth) she is my inspiration (while I eat a bag of ruffles sour cream potato chips -don't you judge!) I totally want to be her when I grow up from my lazy self.

So, for the last 7 weeks I have been virtually living her pains and tremendous wins with her personal trainer Chris from Peak Fitness and his ModelFit program.

And I had been a bit jealous too (in a good way of course). Especially when she mentioned not to long ago that she has lost a whooping 15 pounds!

Which is really my goal to loose in the next 6 months before strutting my stuff down the aisle and then drinking lots of wine and eating lots of food to reward myself.

So when I received an email from her personal trainer asking if I would be interested in joining the program and blogging about it, I JUMPED SO FAST AT THE opportunity, I think twisted my fingers typing “OH HELL TO THE YES!” response – or something to that matter – I may (or may not) have been a bit more nonchalant about it.

Chris and I have already meet and he gave me a quick assessment and basically told me that I’m good to go – then he sent me on my way, with a good sweat and a tingling body that the next day made me paid 1,000 times back by being all sored and bothered.

So,I'm biting this bullet and I’m in the process of getting cleared by my doctor and getting paperwork filled out and hopefully if all works as projected, next week I will post my WEEK 1 recap in how Chris started to kill me slowly by making me work out with all that fancy equipment that I have been avoiding for the past couple of years.

In the meantime check out the Modelfit forum and Facebook Fan page and follow along with me while my body gets back in shape in time to walk my fit self down that aisle.
